Spot
Your cameras. Your footage. Your rules.
As the need for security cameras keeps rising, so does the flood of proprietary software that treats your footage as their data. SPOT is here for everyone who wants to challenge that. SPOT is a cloud NVR with a single, central dashboard for all your security cameras. Built with a relentless focus on privacy and security, your footage is stored safely in the cloud — no more worrying about backups or failing hard drives. The dashboard is ultra-fast, runs at the edge, and needs nothing but your browser. Fine-grained access control, short-lived signed links, and encrypted-by-default sessions mean you decide who sees what — and for how long.
What makes SPOT different
Privacy-first by design
Your footage is yours — never a product. Encrypted-by-default sessions and a strict data model keep surveillance data where it belongs: with you.
One central dashboard
Every camera, one place. Live views and recordings for all your locations in a single, uncluttered interface that needs nothing but a browser.
Ultra-fast at the edge
The dashboard runs at the edge, close to your users. Streams and recordings load instantly, wherever you open them.
Fine-grained access control
Short-lived signed links and per-user permissions let you decide exactly who sees which camera — and for how long.
Cloud storage without the worry
Footage is stored safely in the cloud. No more failing hard drives, no more manual backups, no more gaps in your recordings.
Works with your cameras
Bring the cameras you already own. SPOT unifies them under one roof instead of locking you into a single vendor.
Ready when you are

Why I built SPOT
“SPOT started as a fascination, not a business plan.”
I built SPOT for the love of it. Ever since I was a kid, I was fascinated by the technology behind transmitting video — how a camera in one place ends up on a screen somewhere else.
The deeper I looked, the more one thing bothered me: almost every app is proprietary and some sort of mysterious, nclear. None of them could actually show me my footage was safe — and recordings can quietly leak somewhere without you ever noticing.
So when I got the chance to install surveillance systems myself, I took it — and used it to build a sustainable ecosystem around them. One that's transparent by default and keeps your data yours.
Still just me, and still for the sheer joy of building it right.

Transparency
“No need to shield yourself — transparency has you covered.”
Old surveillance apps ask you to hide behind them — proprietary, opaque, hoping you never wonder where your footage really goes. SPOT flips that around. Openness is the shelter: you always see where your recordings live, who can reach them, and that nothing slips away unnoticed. That's a core goal of SPOT — transparency you can stand under.
The umbrella isn't random. It has long stood for protection — and for quiet resistance against those who watch without being watched. SPOT carries that spirit — but instead of fighting surveillance from the outside, it changes it from within: an ecosystem rebuilt from the inside out, transparent by design.
